A rewarding boss to work with and, over many years, a good friend who guided the University of Surrey through exciting and highly successful times : sorely missed.

Patrick was an amazing gentleman who made significant impact on the lives of so many academics that crossed his path. So grateful for the support he gave me when at Imperial College and later at Surrey. His professionalism, integrity and kindness was exemplary. He will be sorely missed.

Sending all our love to Grace and family. Patrick was such an incredibly important person to us both - encouraging and supporting us in the early part of our careers working at the University of Surrey. We will remember him with great fondness and much gratitude. With love Andy and Fiona xx

We greatly value our long friendship with Paddy.

Patrick was a great person to work for. He talked to all staff the same and made them aware that their contribution mattered. The video of him and Grace from Christmas 2019 spoke volumes. A big loss for the family but also they can be proud of his achievements.

We have fond memories of Paddy throughout the years which we'll never forget. His kindness and generosity of spirit live on. Love and God bless x

Many fond memories of Uncle Paddy going all the way back to the Christmases spent at Tower Road as a child. More recently, he was always curious to hear about my travels, as he too had travelled extensively. It's been lovely to see all the photographs and memories shared by others here. May he rest in peace x
